#Brexit is a poll and not yet implemented. This is about public opinion just like #Grexit was. This is about Politics v/s Public opinion.
A year back 66% Greeks voted against the Bailout but they were still made to continue with Austerity for another 3 years.
The British want out now
Opinion Polls show that Italy and Portugal or France might also want a referendum to vote out.
The Public want out but the Politicians want in. Tsipras did not have it in him to take the Greek plan to its end. Will Nigel Farage manage to walk the talk against the UK Parliament is the next part of the show.
But clearly the Public are tired of the quiet depression that they have been subject to and the Politicians are still not listening. This is interesting and painful to watch.
Do people at large have a voice
Just the last weekend we faced Rajan's exit news and he too was subject to issues regarding open speech on issues that concern the country.
Public opinion in an Internet world of information is the new fight.
You cannot scare people to change their opinion anymore because everyone is watching reading and thinking about it more than ever before.
The biggest change that the Information age will bring will be that of Understanding that the People value the Truth and you cannot stray away from the core issues that matter to the public at large for long. Sooner or later someone will come up and look at that as an opportunity in Change.
